SUMMARY:Child Trauma Response In-Person Training-April 19
DESCRIPTION:Individuals and groups working in the Child Trauma Response domain are exposed to trauma daily. This exposure often goes unprocessed or unexplored by both staff and organizational leadership. The impact of this secondary traumatic exposure often leads to a deterioration in the quality of care provided to clients and the effectiveness of the team. Therefore\, individuals working in such environments must be allowed to discuss their feelings and emotions regularly and consistently concerning the work they do. \nDuring this impactful in-person training we will also discuss how best to access up to three (3) mentoring/coaching calls delivered via video conferencing for relevant participants to enhance your skills. \nAbout the Speaker: Al Killen-Harvey\, an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over three decades of experience in the field\, is the president and co-founder of the Harvey Institute and a Lead Trainer at the Chadwick Center-Rady Children’s Hospital. Mr. Harvey is a renowned expert in consultation and training on various topics\, including Secondary Trauma\, LGBTQ issues\, Sexual Health\, Male Victims of Sexual Abuse\, and Trauma Treatment. Additionally\, he is registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide Certified Educational Units (CEU’s) on a variety of topics\, including the mandated Clinical Supervision Training for LCSWs and MFTs. \nWhen: April 19\, 2024 \nTime: 9:00 to noon \nAddress: Monterey County DSS- Veteran’s Services Center\n2620 1st Avenue Marina\, CA 93933\n  (On-site parking) \nPhone: (831)769-8784 \nREGISTER BELOW\n\n\n \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Title(Required)Email(Required)\n \n Contact Phone(Required)Type of Member(Required)MDT member or presenterCDRT member or presenterBothOtherOther(Required)Select Date(Required)April 19May 10BothCAPTCHA\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ
