Child Abuse Prevention Council names Monterey County Educators as 2020 Award Recipients

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month Monterey County CAPC was pleased to honor all local educators for the dedication to keep students, connected, seen and learning during the Pandemic. So many educators went above and beyond to keep children engaged on-line in learning. From home scavenger hunts, to teacher made You-Tube videos, to phone calls to check in educators remained present with their students in uncharted territory.
Educators remain critical pieces to keep children safe. As mandated reporters they are asked to call the CPS hotline when concerned. They do this with respect and care. The whole month of April a media campaign of thanks was held to include print radio and television.
Monterey County CAPC also wrote personal letters and sent child safety written information and CAPC pins to all school sites; public and private, within Monterey County.
